The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care was established by the Australian, State and Territory Governments to lead and coordinate national improvements in safety and quality.
A focus is on collaborative work in priorities for the health system that benefit from national coordination, including Australian Healthcare Rights, Patient Identification, Medication Safety, Falls Prevention Guidelines, Clinical Handover, Healthcare Associated Infection, Open Disclosure, Accreditation, Credentialling, Recognising and Responding to Clinical Deterioration and Information Strategies.
