Doctors with qualifications from other countries need to apply to the Australian Medical Council for recognition of their qualifications in Australia.
Orthopaedic surgeons can complete additional sub-specialty training in joint reconstruction; spine surgery; hand surgery; knee surgery (sports injuries); foot and ankle surgery; shoulder and elbow surgery; pediatric orthopedics; and orthopedic trauma.
